I haven't had a whole lot of time to draw lately and I'm really missing it but in the mean time I've been doing some pondering of the wonders of the internet. It amazes me that I, living in Newfoundland, Canada, can so easily connect with and get advice from people all over the world.  Two people on DA that have been a great encouragement to me are Stapic (https://www.deviantart.com/stapic) and valeka (https://www.deviantart.com/valeka), both people from places far away from me.  The internet makes the distance that divides us disappear. It also amazes me how the internet can break down generational walls.  I am far from young - being in my 40s - yet here I am connecting with, and getting great advice

I finally completed the portrait for my 500th pageviewer bulletinthegun (https://www.deviantart.com/bulletinthegun) .  She didn't actually send me a picture to draw so I went checking out her site to find out what I could try to draw for her.  I found out she liked Al Pacino so I set out to attempt to draw him.  My attempt doesn't actually look much like him but I like it anyway.  You can check it out here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38902287/  Be sure to check out bulletinthegun (https://www.deviantart.com/bulletinthegun) .  She is a great artist, so much better than me. My good friend Stapic (https://www.deviantart.com/stapic) was my 1000th pageviewer!  I'm presently working on the portrait for my 500th pageviewer.  Been working on it for a while but not actually getting anything done, mostly just thinking about it and sizing it up. Time to actually get serious about putting my pencil to the paper I gues.  :-)  I'm looking forward to drawing something for Stapic, even though I could never draw as good as she does.  She's been a great encourgement to me. Anyway, thanks all for taking the time to view my page.
